Choose the Al Faisaliah Globe if you want to step inside one of Riyadh’s defining landmarks. For the view alone, request the 30-minute Globe Experience at SAR 92 per guest. For a longer evening, reserve dinner at The Globe restaurant, where the minimum spend is SAR 350 per guest. Arrange either through Mandarin Oriental Al Faisaliah and wait for confirmation before setting off.
Is it worth visiting?
The glass sphere is the reason to come: 24 metres across, made from 655 panels and set at the top of the 267-metre Al Faisaliah Tower. Designed by Foster + Partners and opened in 2000, the tower remains a distinctive part of Riyadh’s skyline. Ask for a viewing slot around sunset or early evening for the changing light over the city.
For a straightforward skyline view with fixed hours and an online ticket, the Kingdom Centre Sky Bridge is easier. Choose the Globe if the building itself is the draw, or if a dinner with a view is part of your plans anyway.

Before you go
- The Globe Experience is booked by request, not instantly. Send the form with your preferred date, wait for the concierge to confirm, and ask for the time slot and what is included.
- Ask for a sunset viewing slot, then build the rest of your evening around the time the hotel confirms.
- The hotel was known as the Al Faisaliah Hotel until January 2024, when it was officially rebranded as Mandarin Oriental Al Faisaliah. Older reviews and maps may still use the old name.
- Valet parking is available for The Globe restaurant.
Getting there
Al Faisaliah is on King Fahd Road in Al Olaya. Confirm the appropriate hotel entrance when you book. If using public transport, check the current route with the transport operator before setting off.
Accessibility and practical notes
If you use a wheelchair or have limited mobility, ask the hotel to confirm the full route to the Globe when you book, or call +966 11 273 2000. The sphere is indoors and air-conditioned, making it an option for a hot day once your viewing time is confirmed.
Nearby: what to combine it with
Keep the rest of your visit in Al Olaya if you want to limit travel between stops. The Kingdom Centre Sky Bridge offers another city panorama; use our skyline guide to decide whether to choose one viewpoint or make time for both.
Our indoor guide compares the Globe with the Sky Bridge and National Museum.
