Messages you choose to send
The editorial correction form collects your email address, the page URL and your message. These are stored privately for the site administrator to review and correct the guide. Please do not send passwords, payment details or sensitive personal information. If you email us directly, your email provider and our email provider also process that correspondence.
Saved places and browser storage
The Save feature keeps a list of place identifiers in your browser’s local storage. It does not create an account or send a saved list to our server. You can remove saved places using the same controls or clear this website’s data in your browser. The list may remain on a shared device until cleared.
Technical information and security
Our hosting and Cloudflare services process requests to deliver and protect the website. Technical information can include an IP address, requested URL, time and browser information. The correction form also uses a short-lived value derived from the request IP address to limit repeated submissions. Administration uses WordPress login cookies; Cloudflare may use security cookies when needed.
Services and external links
Hosting, security and backup systems can process website information as part of running the service. Fonts are delivered through Google Fonts, whose servers receive the request information needed to send the font files. See Google Fonts privacy information. Cloudflare’s handling is described in its privacy policy. Booking, map and other external links take you to separate providers with their own policies. Do not send booking or payment information through our correction form.
Features currently available
Public account registration, comments and newsletter signups are disabled. Automated outgoing website email is also disabled, so submitting a correction does not generate a confirmation email. The guide does not take bookings or payments on this website.
Retention and requests
Correction messages stay in the private administration area until manually deleted; there is currently no automatic deletion schedule for those messages. Technical logs and backups have separate operational retention. Deleting a live record may not remove it immediately from existing backup copies. Contact us to request access, correction or deletion of information you have sent, or to ask about retention. We may need enough information to confirm that a request relates to you.

We will update this page when the site’s features or data handling change. You can browse the guide without using the correction form or Save feature. For an editorial issue, use the form on About this guide; for a privacy request, use the email address above.
